The BIG Day is almost here!!!

Well we have 4 days to go before Dallas and I get married, and I can't wait! Things are all coming together and its going to be the most beautiful day! I have the most wonderful family who have been so amazing in helping with all the planning, decorating, and everything else and I just want to thank them for all of their help!Saturday was a very busy and incredible day! It started out with a shower for me by Dallas side of the family and it was a blast, and we got lots of really fun things! After the shower we did some errands and then at 5 o clock with my mom as my escort and Dallas dad as his we went to the Ogden temple where I got my endowments taken out!! The ride over was the most nerve racking, I was even telling Dallas we can just get married civily, but as soon as I walked in the temple I felt so much better! The ladies at the temple are so sweet and were with me every step of the way, and my mom was amazing she was with me when she could I loved her with me! Having my best friend, Dallas, there made me feel so much more at ease! In the temple we did something so special together I'll never forget it! My love for Dallas grew tremedously that day and I thank him so much for being there! I also thank my amazing family there also! The temple is my favorite place, where I forget the stress of wedding planning and again am able to see in perspective. I cannot wait to return!

Little America

I have to tell you about the sweetest thing Dallas did for me the other day! I have been a nanny for a darling little girl for the past year, I have fallen so in love with her. But on Thursday, May 28, it was my last day and I was having a very hard day!I have put Dallas completly in charge of our honeymoon, but I had only one request that we stay at little America our honeymoon night. It is kind of expensive for one night, so he wasn't so sure! I told him all that the honeymoon package comes with and he laughed and told me he can make everything for me! haha, I started not to care where we go cause it just matters who I am with!I asked Dallas on Thursday if he had looked into other hotels and he said he had found another hotel in Layton, I was excited wahoo and he would book it tomorrow! As I was saying goodbye to Kate and we walked outside I started to cry and Dallas gave me this comforting hug, and a sweet kiss, and told me that he had somthing to show me.HE PULLS OUT OUR RESERVATION FOR LITTLE AMERICA ON AUGUST 7, 2009!I was shocked and soooooooooooooo happy!!!!Thank you babe!!!

Engagment Story

Saturday April 11 2009 and honestly I don't remember the time, my fairy tale came true! Dallas Berrett my best friend and boyfriend proposed to me and in the sweetest most romantic way asked me to marry him! I was shocked of course, yes I knew it was coming...sometime but I didn't think on that day! haha, he wanted it that way so he did a way good job with the shock factor! My mom actually saw my nails were done that saturday morning (I wanted to be prepared) and asked when it was and I said not for a couple weeks! haha so she was shocked a little bit!
That saturday I worked until 1 and then I headed down to Dallas house for an "easter" party, we hung out for a while and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. We went over to his grandpas farm to play and feed his horses and cows, I loved that! We then went to dinner at applebees (our favorite place) with his mom and dad and grandma and grandpa. Later back at the house his brother Dusty and his wife Wendi came over for the party and then his uncle and his kids came over, and I didn't think anything of it at all...it was an easter party! Dallas and I were just sitting on the couch kinda talking about when we were going to exchange our easter baskets we got for each other and we decided why not do it now before the party started, so into his room he opened my basket full of candy and a sweet tie (I think), he loved it! We stayed in his room just talking...and now that I think about it he did start to get a little bit quiet! I asked if I could have mine and he said I had to go out into the family room to open it, that confused me, why couldn't I just open it here? He said it was because it was such a stupid basket he found at walmart he wanted to see his families reaction to the basket...so I trudged out to the family room waiting for this "stupid" basket! haha, he came in walking backwords and hands me this basket with a pink bunny holding a stuffed eggs in it. Inside the basket was candy my favorite cadbury eggs, and other things. Dallas then told me the bunny is supposed to say something, so i picked it up and was pushing the hands to make it say something..nothing happend! He then said check the voicebox so I turned it around and in the back of the basket I saw the "voicebox" and I said to him so dumbly it looks like you've already messed with it, so I took it out and it took me a minute to realize it was a RING box! I was so shocked! I just kept saying, "oh my gosh, oh my gosh" he made me stand up, he took my hand and admist all the ahhh from his family they just seemed to disappear and it seemed like it was just Dallas and I! He asked me to marry him and those words are still ringing in my head! I loved it!! I love him! The ring is gorgeous...and he bought that for me! The day was perfect! I got to tell my family...and that is a whole different story! Before we called Dallas said a really romantic and sweet spiritual prayer that I can still feel the effects of that prayer!
I just can't believe we are engaged...young I am only 19, but I feel so blessed that I was able to meet him, and now I have that much longer to spend with him! He means the world to me, from the first date to now everything has been so amazing, every date, every fight we have gotten in has made me fall that much more in love with Dallas! He treats me with the upmost respect and care, sometimes I know I drive him crazy but he doesn't show it! I know we have such a strong bond and a strong friendship that our love with only be strengthened through the adventures we go through!
I AM SO EXCITED FOR AUGUST 7, 2009 TO BE MARRIED TO MY BEST FRIEND DALLAS BERRETT! I LOVE YOU BABE!!!
