I'm not one to complain and I hate others knowing that things may not be going exactly right in my life! I'm one to try my hardest even on the roughest days to put on a smile or pretend like nothing is bugging me...when really everything is bugging me! Partly why this blog went private, so I can have a little more privacy and opportunity to vent to my family and close friends.
Well to be honest not everything is going right, right now! I'm tired of living in a unforgiving, down economy! I'm ready for things to start going right in our country and for our country to start putting PEOPLE first, not themselves. To be honest we need to get Dallas another job, with both of us working things have been great and we have been able to do things we thought we were only going to be able to dream of doing before marriage. But with me quitting work at the end of the year and wanting a few more life changes, we just need something a little more supportive. But while listening to the news on the radio and Govenor Huntsman talk about the economy and jobs, I became very defeated. He basically said you need to have the EDUCATION and SKILLS to get a good paying job....or (this is my add in) KNOW SOMEONE WHO CAN GET YOU IN! Sending a resume through email does not work...they do not know you as a person!!! I'm so sick of this!!! We are both trying our hardest for a better life by going to school, but this won't be until the future (1 year for me and 4+ for my husband) what about the now?
I feel like this is our time to turn to Christ....but our trust and faith in him! Everything we have been doing up to this point in OUR lives has been right! We have been honest and faithful. We attended the Salt Lake Temple last week, I love the spiritual feeling inside! But yet when we are done we are back on the job search, back to feeling like we are hitting dead ends. I know this is just a short amount of time, and things are going to change and Dallas will find a job....just waiting is the hard part. He is my saviour, my redeemer, my brother and I'm putting all my trust into him!

Marveous Month Of Maying
At the beginning of the month Dallas and I took a much needed trip to LAS VEGAS! Las Vegas lately has been my favorite place to visit (minus all the muck and scum you see on the streets), its a really fun sight seeing trip! I loved getting away and not having to worry about being any place at a certain time, and just having FUN!
Guess where we stayed??? Yup, You guessed it...HOOTERS HOTEL AND CASINO! We had a little problem checking in and so our room got upgraded to the OCEANVIEW (bet you didn't know that Vegas has an ocean!) The room was surprisingly nice and big and I really enjoyed staying there! The "Hooters Girls" really weren't dressed too bad being we are in Vegas! The walk to the strip wasn't too bad either, just cut through MGM Grand!
This picure is kinda blurry sorry, but this is I believe at Ceasers Palace
We were the weekend of the big boxing match, I can't remember the names of the boxers, but there was a TON of people there to see the fight! It was kinda fun and crazy!
Ate at the rainforest cafe, delicious delicious! I also loved where we sat, right by the waterfall, made delicious sightseeing!
Dallas and I have gotten into watching the show, Pawn Stars, so since we were in Vegas we of course had to go find the place! It was in the heart of the ghetto and kinda a scary place, but there were so many tourists there and right outside the door was a big ol' body guard! Unfortunately the main guys on the show were out of town the day we were there, but still cool to see the place.
The funnest was the we went and saw the Criss Angel's Magic Show! IT was so awesome and I would recommend anyone to see it, of course if you are 18 or older! I felt so bad for a teenager they brought on the stage and the did a whole bunch of just dirty jokes, I'm sure he did not understand, because I didn't get them! But the magic was AWESOME!! He is definitely talented!!
Then just this Friday Dallas's younger brother Logan got married in the Bountiful Temple! It was a gorgeous day for a wedding, and we are so excited for this cute couple to be sealed to each other! There was a minus mishap where Logan forgot to bring their marriage license, which delayed the wedding for a little bit, but other than that it was a perfect day!
Dallas holding is adorable niece, Tatum!
You have to know that this wedding was a little tough on Dallas because him and his brother Logan are EXTREMELY close and now he has to share! Dallas gave a wonderful speech/story about the two of them at their luncheon at Maddox. Dallas loves his brother very much!! He was funny, when they were getting ready to leave their reception Dallas was right by their car so he made sure to get a goodbye hug! He is such a sweet guy!
Dallas, Austin and his girlfriend Arianne! Love those zebra ties??
Can you tell her theme was zebra? I wish I got a picture of her HIGH zebra heels, they were so cute!!!
Then on Saturday Dallas had to go help his family at their farm, so I got to ride their horse! I've been wanting to do this forever, the horse was a little uncooperative which made me a little nervous. But after I got going it was so much fun!!!
It has been another fun and very busy month at the Berrett household! We are both going to school during summer, and I had one class that was a month long and kept me very busy! Dallas unfortunetly for him has to go to school the entire summer, poor kid! But I'm excited for the summer to start and a lot more fun!!!

One Word...Wonderful
Have you ever stared at your husband...fiance.....boyfriend and find yourself so mesmorized by what your seeing at yourside? Well I have at this boy!! (see below) It was during our long drive through the nothingness that exists between St. George and Las Vegas
He is my bestest friend in the whole entire world, and he has been through and helped me with so much. Its simple things like, giving me the encouragement to continue in school, telling me I'll be a GREAT teacher, even when I do not believe it myself. But I am not going to make this a post all of me pronouncing my love for this man I have been so blessed to spend not only this life with but the life after this (I just can't get any luckier than that!)
Dallas just finished his first semester of school and to see the sparkle and smile on his face when he saw his final grades, let me know it was worth it for HIM to wait until now to start school. Dallas could have started school before he got home from his mission and continue after but he didn't, for reasons that I think make sense to me now! Dallas studies hard and does so well staying up on all of his homework and works really hard for his grades! I won't lie, I wish he would have started earlier, than we could be finishing rather than starting; but everyone is different. This is the best thing for Dallas, and Dallas now has purpose in all he is doing. I love seeing him become like a small school boy when he gets an "A" on a paper or a test. I have always LOVED him, but over this last month my love and admiration for him has deepened. One thing every marriage needs is laughter...and we got that DOWN! (waterfight in the car...so much fun!)
I feel like I am trudging through really thick mud, and every step I take is so much deeper and harder than the one before. I have felt like I am not getting anywhere with school and I am stagnate. But I'm turning my pessimisticness off and my optimistic on, I am one day closer to graduation, one more day spent with my family. I have a great family who loves and supports Dallas and I in all that we do, and often I am not as grateful to them as I should be. I love my life right now, it sure is busy with both of us running around from place to place, but coming home each night to an adorable, wonderful, husband makes everything worthwhile and one day our family will grow and I cannot wait to start that chapter of our lives. But for now bring on the mud because I know everything we are doing is for the right reasons.
