Wow what a crazy, crazy, crazy month!! I will be really honest, I do
not want to repeat this month...ever!!! I don't know if it is pregnancy
hormones making it worse, oh by the way those of you who don't know WE
ARE HAVING A BABY (look at the post below.) Let me quickly do a recrap
(haha, that was a typo but I like it.)
After graduation comes the
stress of finding a job.Teaching jobs are already sparse but to make it
worse is most teachers do not get hired until June-August, so let us
begin the waiting game! It has been really hard to be patient,
especially as your friends/classmates begin getting interviews and
jobs. I have had a couple of interviews and guess what....I got both
jobs that I interviewed for, I was so excited. The first job was sixth
grade in Ogden and the other first or second in North Ogden. After a lot
of pondering I decided to take the first grade job in North Ogden. So,
yup you better believe it, I am going to be a FIRST GRADE TEACHER!!! The
best part is they are working with my pregnancy, I am so so so so
grateful!!
Next, we got thirty days notice to move out of the
home we are living in, and having been living in for two years. Our home
as been for sale for about two years (went on the market right after we
moved in.) Slowly the price has been dropping and people have started
coming more and more. I got really stressed about having to all the
sudden pick up and move, and our plan (and nothing goes as planned) was
to wait until I got a job so we would know where to move and then move
out. Our goal was to be out by the end of summer...well summer has not
even started yet and we have to move out. On top of that our landlord
really wants out by May 25 so extra pressure and we are trying our best
to be cooperative but it is really really frustrating. I know moving
will be the best for us, every time we got a phone call they were
showing the house I lost it!
Luckily things have fallen into
place, I am so grateful, we have said many many many prayers!! I signed
my contract the other day, it is official I know where I will be
teaching so we are looking at BUYING not RENTING a home in Harrisville!!
It is a big step to buy a home but we are ready for that next step and
with interest rates being how they are, we can not pass up this time to
buy a home. Unfortunately we have to be out of our home before we close,
so for about a month we are homeless!! Thankgoodness for good parents
(on both sides) who are always there to take care of us!
Some good did happen during May! Our friend Ashley Falcon came home from her mission in St. George Utah! She served a faithful mission and I'm sure blessed a lot of lives! Her family came and picked her up and of course stopped and saw us as well! Dallas and I were lucky enough to be able to spend all day Thursday with them, shopping, eating, and playing the kinect! We had so much fun, I love with they come and visit!! I also got to go horseback riding, which is always fun!! May has been stressful, very stressful, but there has been many blessings!
I am so grateful that everything is working out!!!
Not as many pictures but a few!!

Baby, baby, baby
Okay, so you know how I slyly mentioned we are having a baby above? Let me scream it right now....WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!! I am 23 weeks pregnant right now and feel so good!! I am starting to show which is so exciting for me!! I have felt the baby move quite a bit, somedays are more active than others. My first trimester wasn't too bad, I never threw up, even though sometimes I really really wanted too! I mostly was really tired, which was not very helpful during student teaching! My favorite part is watching my belly transform and become bigger, the bigger it gets the more I believe there is a baby in there!!
We found out at 18 weeks that we are having a girl, so we did this fun surprise to tell our families, and they were so excited!! But we go to the doctor today for our 20 week autonomy appointment (things are looking great by the way, we could see two hands, two feet, toes, and fingers, so so so so exciting!!) but our radiologist noticed something different, something that should not belong to a girl!!! So after buying pink baby clothes, thinking of girl names, making an all pink quilt, we are having a BOY!! I am in shock but Dallas, oh my goodness, you cannot take that smile off his face!! (he was excited for a baby girl of course, but boy, oh boy, he is excited now!!)
As soon as we get moved we are going to start working on our nursery. I had so many pink ideas but now I have to change my mind set...but it will still be fun!!
