What a Wonderful Time of the Year!!!

I can hardly believe that Christmas is already over! We work all month for this one day and then just like that it is over! But it was such a wonderful Christmas for both Dallas and I, and I love that I get to spend Christmas with my wonderful family and husband! We had a lot of fun Christmas eve and Christmas! We spent Christmas with my family this year and we laughed so hard, I loved it!! Christmas eve my mom made my favorite tortilla soup for dinner, drove around our traditional loop looking at Christmas lights, and got an early Christmas present from Santa Clause! We stayed awake until Christmas day, and went to bed to get a little cat nap in before time to open presents!!
Dallas got a new phone from his parents for Christmas, one word...ADDICTED! ha!

These are the presents Santa gave us, new pj's, bopit, and a cup game!

Us in the car...don't we look happy! ha!

Playing bopit to pass the time as we waited in line for the Layton lights.

Dallas and Macy had a competition going trying to beat each others high scores!!

Layton lights, we go each year! The lights never change but its fun to see them!

See Santa???

This is the cup game we got, its so fun! You have a ping pong ball and you pick a card and you try to bounce the ball the way the card says! This picture you try to throw the ball into the cup on top of your head! We all laughed so hard, it was hilarious!

My dad trying it!

This was so funny!

This picture is so funny! Macy, my dad, Dallas all put their glasses on their nose acting like nerds!

Family, we all love each other!!
Christmas morning was a blast and we were all spoiled! My dad got exactly what he wanted, gift cards to FYE and he was super excited! My mom got a kindle so she can read her books (she loves it!) Macy got lots of clothes, a jewelry armorer, and more stuff! Dallas got clothes, movies, movies, movies, and dress clothes! I was super spoiled not only by Santa but by my loving husband! He bought me three watches all because he didn't know what color matches best! I got the biggest loser for the Kinect (Dallas and I got that from my grandparents!) and lots of clothes. But my favorite is the Anne of Green Gables set I got...I cannot wait to watch them! Christmas we spent at both of my grandparents and it was a busy and fun day! One thing was missing though...the SNOW! :(
This is Christmas morning!

Dallas has been dying to get the seasons of family guy (I don't think that show is funny at all, but Dallas laughs and laughs...I don't get it!)

Macy got tons and tons of super cute clothes...we both got the same clothes from Santa! Thanks Santa :D

Mr. and Mrs. Clause! How cute!

After we opened all our presents we had a huge pile in the middle of the floor, we had fun playing in it!

Macy and Dallas playing the Kinect!

Us in our new Christmas clothes! Dallas and my dad both got a shirt that said, "If this shirt is not sweaty than I am not gaming hard enough!" oh brother!

Me and Ty....he is the happiest baby!

All the cousins and their new toys!

Dallas loves playing with my grandpas dog, Tag!

Dallas got a new Texas hoodie...about time!

And Morley...poor thing spent Christmas all by herself!

Oh and Dallas couldn't resist buying me a Dallas Cowboys purse! haha, I can't wait to use it!
On Sunday we spent the day with his family just hanging out! It was another busy and fun day! But of course I didn't take any pictures! Now time to bring on 2011...a year of who knows what :D haha!

Thank You Kind Man!

Today while I was driving back from Salt Lake for work I noticed the car was turning really weird. I got out of the car and looked at the tires and nothing seemed out of the ordinary, so I got back into the car and continued to drive! The turning grinding noise I heard earlier went away and I figured the car was back in normal working shape...boy was I wrong. While I was on the freeway the car kind of started to pull and I heard this really loud popping noise....there goes the tire! I pulled off the side of the freeway and looked and sure enough the tire was blown (this is the second time this has happened to me in the same company car!) I immediately called Dallas, who I knew would be unable to help because he was in Ogden but it always feels good to talk to him! I then called work and they said they would send some help....yup I'm that girl that has to have the guy change my tire; but after today I think I'm going to learn! As I sat there I hated every car that drove past me, as the car shook and shook! But I was talking to my mom telling her what happened when a car pulled in front of me, my mom warned me to be careful and only roll my window down a crack or two. The guy a tall guy with gray hair, dressed in levis and a polo shirt and probably in his 50's comes to my window and offers his assistance (if this is you, thank you thank you thank you!!) I told him I had help coming and he didn't need to stay, but he insisted and trusting my gut instincts I let him!  He changed the tire for me while asking me about what my job, school, husband, and the holiday season. I found out he lives in South Ogden just like me and just had son return home from his LDS mission in Rome (so jealous!!) He cut his hand in the process of changing poor little ol' me's tire, and had to use a sock to keep blood from getting all over! I never got this man's name so I can send him a thank you card, so this is the only way I can thank him! He saved my day and made me realize just a little more what the Christmas season is all about!
Merry Christmas Sir!!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!
I love this time of year, Christmas time just has a feeling that no other holiday can bring! The tree is up and decorated, the stockings are hung, and the house smells of cinnamon; we are ready for Christmas!!! There are many reasons why I love Christmas! The snow, call me crazy but shoveling the snow is one of my favorite things to do! I have been sick for the past few weeks! One day while it was snowing I got up put on my coat and gloves and fought to get past Dallas to go and shovel...but he wouldn't let me! I love shopping and buying presents for family and friends, even if I really have no idea what to buy! But most important I love the meaning of Christmas, the birth of our savior, serving others who may be in need, and spending time with OUR family! I think that is really why I love the season! Last week we were able to attend with my family the First Presidency Christmas Devotional, that really invited the spirit of Christmas to be in our home, and see what we can do to help those around us!
I just finished school for this semester and am gearing up to go back in just a few weeks, and guess what??? I'll have a buddy joining me in the quest of school!! Dallas is starting his first semester at Weber State, i'm pretty excited!! We have been so busy each day it feels like we are running around like chickens with our heads cut off! We are both working hard and loving this time of year! Anyway I just wanted to write a quick post, even though it is boring without pictures!! I'm sure I'll have some after the Holidays!

Two of a Kind

This Halloween we had a blast, from shopping for a costume to eating lots of DELICIOUS food (the reason for the season!) We first had to find our costume, well we really wanted to be thing 1 and thing 2 but we only found a costume for thing 1, didn't work! So our next idea was just head to savers and see what ideas came to us! So this is what we came up with...its not a unique idea but we dressed the part! We went trick or treating with my cousins for a while, until it was too cold and we chickened out! Then we headed to my moms house and hung out with my family, it was such a fun holiday!
Us as NERDS! The best part, we really didn't have to dress up too much!
haha, I loved this sign, needed it to complete the outfit! The funniest was cousins actually kicking Dallas!
Here is the whole clan! Everyone looked so cool and awesome! Especially Heather, if you can't see her she is in the back with the mustache!

The adorable ninja turtle, Brigham!

Look at Ty, he is adorable as a frog! He is the cutest, happiest baby!!

A couple days before we carved our pumpkins! I had so much fun doing, its my favorite part of the holiday.

Do you know what this is? Don't worry I didn't really either!
Another update, yesterday I had so much fun! I love TUESDAYS because it's my day off from work, and Dallas who is extra nice skips school so we can have a fun day together! Dallas put me in the car and surprised me by taking me to Gardner Village, definitely not a boys favorite place! We shopped there for a while, and I got a couple of fabric kits I am so excited to make (actually last night I put the homework down and got half of one of my projects done...sewing is so relaxing to me!) Then we went to In-N-Out, that was the deal! I loved yesterday, so fun! And plus this weather! who couldn't be happy this time of year?
Here we are at Gardner! Doesn't he look so happy, haha!
His favorite part was chasing the chickens, at least there was something to entertain him!

Sorry, don't zoom in on this picture! But here we at In-N-Out, I accidentally, totally accidentally ordered a 2x2! That is 2 hamburger patties on this sandwich, I was shocked! I ate the whole thing but couldn't eat my fries!

JUST FYI...

I'm sitting here on the couch...supposed to be doing homework, but instead i'm blogging! As I am sitting here I am looking at the back of Dallas and thinking to myself,I really do love my husband! You'd think I would already know that, we are married! But right now as he makes a few funny noises and looks at me strangely, it hits me I love this boy! He always makes me laugh! This is Dallas's last sentence he said to me, "what if some crazy guy just came banging on our door? What would you do?" Oh he loves to scare me, and ask "what if's" questions! Dallas has some awesome dance moves, really awesome silly faces, and I bust up laughing everytimes I look at him upside down; don't ask me why! I have married just the best man for me, I have rashes in my armpit from him tickling me! But I wouldn't take back those moments! He knows just the right thing to say, or not to say! There is reason that I seldom get any homework done when I am at home, its cause I look at my husband and thats that I'd rather be spending my time with him! But in a nutshell, I love my husband!

It's this face

His sense of style!

He's true to his word, even after losing a bet! (his fingernails are painted)

That all lead to this...the happiest day of my life! Oh he's so handsome!

Magnificent Macy

I know my family is dying to see Macy in her dress the night of homecoming!! She looked so pretty...as usual! But the color of the dress just fit her so perfectly, Pretty in Pink! Saturday for her day activity she went paintballing and got some pretty good looking welts but it sounded like she had a blast; she should have they left at 8 a.m. and got home at 3:30!! Then that night he picked her up at 6:30 and they went to Tuscano's in Salt Lake for dinner and got to the dance around 10p.m. (only an hour at the dance) and then after they went to and watched a movie at one of the guy's in the group's house!! I think she loved homecoming this year...it might have had something to do with the boy ;) (but that's just my guess)
Macy making her grand entrance down the stairs! Her hair is gorgeous and she did it all herself!

Just the typical "I really need to hurry, get out of my face Kyla" look

This is a mom's job!

She wore converses to the dance...how stinkin cute!!

Macy and her date Jared Taylor!! He was a pretty nice boy, wasn't shy or uncomfortable with the loads of family we had at our house!!

That just the update on Macy, Dallas and I have been having lots of fun as usual, but at the same time making a lot of decisions! Dallas has decided to go attend Weber state and get his degree and then if he still feels like the police academy is the right thing to do, that will be the plan! But for right now we are just taking a day at a time and trying to enjoy this time of our lives because it all just seems to be going so fast!!

A week of ENDLESS fun!

This past week was our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! We decided we wanted to celebrate in a BIG way! We left this past Tuesday and drove and stayed in LAS Vegas and stayed in Excalibur and walked the entire strip; I forgot how dirty Vegas is!! Then on Wednesday we hit the road again and drove to San Diego where we site-saw and ate in Old Town. Thursday we went to Sea World and saw all the wonderfully fun shows and amazing animals... I LOVE dolphins they are sooo stinking cute! We stayed about all day long cause we were having so much fun! Then we woke up bright and early Friday and drove to L.A. to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!! I was so excited to go because it has been so long since I have been there and since Dallas is a movie lover he was pretty excited; for example during the back-lot tour they have lots of movie posters and Dallas has seen pretty much seen all of them and would say "Good Movie" or  "Bad Movie". We had a ton of fun at Universal, I loved all the rides and the shows! We stayed until close again and I was really bummed we couldn't stay longer and visit Citywalk (A HUGE outdoor mall at Universal) but we had a 2 hour drive back to our hotel and we were already so tired. Then Saturday we visited the beach, and the San Diego Temple before we took a scenic ride back to the free-way to go home! Saturday we spent our anniversary in the car driving to Vegas and staying in Luxor...we didn't really do much that day because we were already so tired but we were together and doing what we do best LAUGHING! So it was a really fun day! I love being married (which I know I say a lot) but over the course of this year we have had so many adventures and I have grown to love Dallas so much more, he is my best friend and there is no one else I would rather spend my days with!

This is our first night in Las Vegas, we were almost back to our hotel and we were so ready...can you tell we were exhausted?
In the car...again we spent ALOT of time in the car!
This is the church were Dallas attended during his mission! I loved seeing his mission area and he got to visit some of the families he grew really close too! So Cool!
I can't remember the name of the this dolphin @ Sew World but isn't it cool looking? It loves to swim on its back, just the sweetest animal!
Shamu and her baby at the BELIEVE show @ SeaWorld...we were bummed because none of the trainers got into the water with the KILLER Whales!
this picture speaks for itself!
The Jurassic Park at Universal...I didn't realize how wet you got! Wrong day not to bring a hair-thingy!
The coolest orangutan monkey at the Universal Pet Show, he made us laugh so hard!
Back at Las Vegas on the night of our anniversary! Dallas hates me asking people to take our picture thus all the weird posed photos! I loved our Anniversary!
We wanted to do a sealing session at the San Diego Temple on Saturday, a special reminder of what we did one year ago; but unfortunately it is getting worked on so it was closed! But we were still able to get a picture of the temple minus the scaffolding!
