23 Years Old and 36 weeks Pregnant

A couple weeks ago was my 23rd birthday (I cannot believe I am that old!!) We celebrated my birthday in Bear Lake with my mom, dad, sister and boyfriend, and Dallas. I try to tell myself that we went to Bear Lake for my birthday...but that really wasn't the reason. My family has been trying all summer to get away for a family vacation, but summer really went too fast!!
We had so much fun in Bear Lake, the lack of pictures is really because we were having fun!! We got there on Friday night we drove around to the other side of the lake looking for a decent beach to play on, the water is really high and there really is little beach! But we found this perfect spot that was a nice sandy each and the water was perfect!! We played around in the water for a few hours before heading back to our condo on Friday!
Saturday (my BIRTHDAY!!) we went back to the same beach and spent all day playing in the water! We brought rafts, frisbee, water blow up toys and lots more...it was so much fun!! I mostly just laid in the blow of raft and canoed around the lake, I got burned way bad, but had lots of fun!!!
Saturday night we ate at Bear River Pizza (delicious by the way) and got a raspberry shake....never, ever, ever, can leave bear lake without a raspberry shake!! My birthday was family filled and lots of fun!!
Sunday, my favorite day!! Sunday after we slept in and checked out of our hotels, we rented a bicycle/train thingy for SIX!! Yup for six people!! We all had to peddle while only one could steer the bikes!! We rode all around Bear Lake in these things!! My dad and Dallas were embarassed, but I was having the time of my life!! People honked, waved, and stopped to talk to us...just like we were celebrities!!

I didn't want to come home...because I knew coming home meant work and getting ready for school. I loved this short little vacation with my family, cannot wait for the next one!!
I am also 36 weeks pregnant!! Wahoo!! My stomach is getting really big, and it is getting just a little awkward to move around. I went to the doctor yesterday and she checked me and I am 1cm dilated, if that! She did notice that my body is preparing to have this baby. I have had lots of baby showers and received several very nice gifts! I feel very grateful to have such great family and friends!! I also notice in the pictures how chubby my face is....ahhhhh I hope that goes away!!
I cannot wait to meet my sweet baby boy!

My First Day of First Grade

It is official, summer is over, time for school to start! I have been working for a couple of weeks but on Monday... I got my STUDENTS!!! I thought I was ready, I have been looking forward to it for a long time, But I WAS NOT!! It was a crazy day of running around like a chicken with no head!!! Luckily I have great co-workers who have really been a great support, and help!!! While trying to tell Dallas about my day I could hardly think of what we did... I was that tired!!! My students are great!! I have 21 one of them, and each one was so patient when I made mistakes; I made lots of mistakes and they always told me... It is okay to make mistakes!!! I really am enjoying having my very own classroom to decorate, and teach how I want to teach! I hardly know anything really, there is lots of planning, and teaching procedures and behaviors right now!! I am trying to teach the important subject matter stuff, but if I do not target the kids behavior...it will make for a very long year!!! I am really tired, but so far I am loving teaching!!

There is just a little look around my classroom!! Since school has started I've added a little bit more!!

32 Weeks Pregnant

I am 33 weeks pregnant and cannot believe how fast time has gone. I am beginning to feel just a little overwhelmed that I won't be ready for his arrival.  I am so excited that in about a month and half (or less) I  will be holding my little boy, the newest addition to our family!! I am loving most every second of being pregnant. I always imagined that I would know what it felt like to be pregnant, as a little girl it was as simple as putting a pillow up my shirt and walking around. My little guy is very active, especially at night, I am just telling me he is prepping me for what is to come!
We went to the doctor last week, my goodness he is getting so big. My doctor thinks he weighs just over 4 pounds and believes I am further ahead than originally thought. We talked about labor and what to expect and what I should look for...even though that is a little while away, I am really getting nervous about not knowing what to expect. I have experienced a few of those braxton hicks contractions, not the most comfortable feeling. I keep telling myself everytime I get extra hot and sweaty, hungry an hour after I ate a meal, or uncomfortable sleeping, that all of this will be worth it! The closer I get the more anxious and excited I become. I am especially excited to see Dallas as a dad, he loves watching my belly move into all sorts of contorted positions. 33 weeks....let the countdown begin! Here are some pictures from our last ultra-sound I wanted to share.
Baby Berrett and I, 32 weeks pregnant.
See his adorable head in the upper right hand corner? He has one of his fists clenched and the other by his head.

I know its hard to tell from these pictures but I think he is pretty adorable!!! I love him already!!

3 Years of Marriage Bliss

August 7th (Tuesday) was our 3...YUP...3 year anniversary!! The day itself was boring, with Dallas working all day, and with me working on my classroom. Dallas had off of work Wednesday and Thursday and so we made plans to go to Park City (our traditional anniversary getaway) for a few days.
Dallas booked the hotel and told me we got a condo near a place we usually stay, bring my swimsuit, and be ready to go by the time he gets off of work. I got our bags packed and believe me, with this heat, I was ready to go and make a getaway! To continue the non-adventurous day we both were having celebrating our anniversary, for dinner we had a classic PB&J sandwich...delicious!! Dallas put our hotel address on the GPS and I knew something was up when the GPS told us to turn onto Canyon's dr...as in the very fancy, pancy, Canyons hotel where they hosted the bachelor a few years back. I questioned Dallas about it and insisted that it was wrong. We turned into a hotel where Dallas told me that something was not right, this was not in the area where our hotel was, and naive me I believed him. He told me he was going to go inside and ask the hotel workers for directions on how to get to our place we were staying, I sat there patiently wondering if I could get us there if I only knew the address. Dallas came out with our hotel keys in his hand, and we had arrived!! I am so spoiled, and honestly this was so bad of me, but the first question out of my mouth was how much is this hotel? After a lot of questioning and prodding, I was very excited and pleased when my husband had done his research (like his wife) and gotten us a great deal!

Dallas really enjoyed our hotel!! What is really nice about the Canyon's area is there is so much to do! For once we did not leave the resort and go elsewhere in Park City, there is tons to keep us busy just around our hotel.

I loved our GIANT king size bed, there was
just enough room for both of us to spread out.

On Wednesday we took the Gondola up the mountain. We enjoyed taking pictures  of our scenic view up the mountain, getting that funny feeling in our bellies, getting off the Gondola....after a few minutes going back down (because we can), and then riding back up the mountain. We took another ski lift that took us higher up the mountain where we went hiking, sight seeing, rock skipping, laughing and oh so much more. Unfortunately we were having too much fun to take pictures of everything.

I don't really know what is up with Dallas when he took this picture, but I love the view

Just like Dallas, I give our hotel and our anniversary a thumbs up! (I would have given it two but I had the flowers in my hand). It felt so nice to get away from the heat, it was seriously at least 10 degrees cooler in Park City. On Thursday before we went home we enjoyed a nice fun time at Olympic park, shopping, and lunch!
