My Favorite Recipes

Wow the weather is being crazy! One day it is raining so I'll put on a jacket and then the next day it sunny and hot I'm wearing Capri's! But lately the weather has been really nice and made me excited for summer! We went on a picnic the other day and I decided it was a hot day to try this new ice cream that I found in a Rachel Ray magazine; its delicious and really really easy!!
I don't know the name of the recipe but so I call it:
Strawberry Sorbet

Ingredients:
4 Cups fresh strawberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2/3 Bread tins
Directions:
In a blender mix up strawberries and cup of sugar until the mixture is smooth and there are no clumps of strawberries. In a small bowl beat your heavy whipping cream until small soft peaks form. In a mixing bowl pour your strawberry mixture into it reserving about a 1/2 cup (you use this to pour on the ice cream when you serve it.) Fold in using a rubber spatula your whipping cream into the strawberry mixture until it is all well blended.
Line the bread tins with plastic wrap enough, hanging over than you can fold it over the ice cream. After your strawberry mixture is well blended pour the mixture into the bread tins (you can fill it however full you want, I got it to fit in 2 bread tins 3/4 of the way full.) Then fold over the plastic wrap over the strawberry mixture and freeze for approx. 2 hours, before serving, pour your 1/2 cup strawberry mixture over the ice cream, and top with fresh strawberries (if you want) and ENJOY and nice easy summer treat!
Both Dallas and I thought this was delicious and we didn't even have to have an ice cream machine!

Winger's Sticky Fingers
***seriously delicious!! But beware very very spicy, don't eat on a hot day!

For the sauce (this covers about 8-10 sticky fingers):
3 Tbsp. Franks Hot Sauce (It has to be Franks Hot Sauce!!)
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. water

Heat up hot sauce, brown sugar and water in a saucepan until all the sugar dissolves

For the Sticky Fingers:
1 c. oil
1 pkg. frozen breaded chicken fingers

In a frying pan, heat oil and cook chicken fingers until crispy and warm. Pour sauce over. Serve with ranch.
