Fourth of July and A Birthday

Wow what a busy weekend we just had, full of celebrations with family and celebrating the birth of my dearest loved one!! What I loved about this years fourth of July was since the holiday fell on a Sunday we didn't know if we should celebrate it on Saturday, Sunday, or on the Monday after...so we decided to do all 3 days...why not? Friday we went to my Grandma Imo's house to watch our traditional fireworks...that was so much fun! I love my Dad's side of the family unfortunately we don't spend as much time together as we should. We watch the fireworks from grandma Imo's porch and it is the perfect spot. When it first started we were so close we had ash falling on us and it looked like the fireworks were coming straight towards us, it was AMAZING!
Saturday we headed up to Huntsville to Dallas's aunt Roxanne's house for a dinner and to watch the Liberty fireworks. I loved being up there watching the fireworks, we had a really nice view and it was cold!! I was freezing! I had fun talking to Wendi, my sister-in-law and laughing with his family! I hope to make that a tradition every year!!
Then Sunday after church we went to my families house and had a delicious dinner (my mom seriously is such an amazing creative cook...We call Rachel Ray the 2nd) and then we made yummy S'mores over the grill and played JUMPROPE GAMES while we waited for it to get dark enough to do fireworks! At Winco (our new favorite grocery store) Dallas found a GIANT firework for only 17 dollars, so of course we bought it, and it ended up being the coolest firework and lasted a good 7 or so minutes...thanks Winco for putting on our Grand Finale! My mom got a firework that was pretty cool it was the spinning flower that lights up and spins, we've had it before but this one came with a huge loud BANG, and non of us was expecting it and all of us jumped right out of our seats it was classic! I loved this holiday and especially being able to spend it with both of our families!

Then the long awaited birthday celebration finally arrived on Monday!! Dallas turned the ripe ol' age of 25 but he was just as excited as a 5 year old little boy!! All weekend long I heard non stop, "What did ya get me?" "If I find it around the house can I open it?" "Can I open it at midnight?" WOW exhausting! I wanted that day to be really special cause seriously how many times do you get to celebrate turning 25? I kept everything a secret that we were doing that day to just add to the suspense!!
One of his presents was getting to sleep in (he doesn't get to that a lot because of work), so after he woke up I cooked him his favorite breakfast meal...over easy eggs, bacon, hasbrowns, and toast. During breakfast he got to open his present from me, he got an ITOUCH, he was so excited and I was so excited that FINALLY I got to give it to him! After breakfast and playing on the ITOUCH we headed out the door to go to BOONDOCKS! At Boondocks we played two games of miniature golf, G0 Carts, and the arcade, and we had so much fun!! After Boondocks Dallas's choice activity was to go to Gateway and see Eclipse, the only chickflik he will watch! But we almost missed it cause we were in the apple store and Dallas was getting a lesson on how to use his ITOUCH.
We had a serious time crunch (and Dallas didn't understand why) but as soon as Eclipse was over we had to hop in the car and go to Draper to eat at his favorite place IN-N-OUT!! But one thing he didn't know is I had a surprise there...his family! Dallas has been wanting to go with his family there but something always comes up to prevent it from happening so I decided this would be a fun surprise and his family loved the idea! Dallas was so shocked as soon as he saw them and it left him for once in his life...speechless!! Unfortunately we were having so much fun together that I didn't take pictures of IN-N-Out (which makes me really sad!)
IT WAS SUCH A FUN DAY!! My family has always gone way out for birthdays and I really wanted to bring that tradition into our family!  I loved surprising him and seeing him have so much fun with everything we did...we don't get to spend a WHOLE entire day together very often so it was nice to do that, I never ever get sick of being with him!
